A STUDY ON THE ACQUISITION OF FRANCIS TURBINE RUNNER GEOMETRY BASED ON 3D SCANNER

As interest in renewable energy has recently increased, studies for hydraulic turbine are actively underway in Korea. Apart from several small hydraulic turbines, most major domestic hydraulic turbines are manufactured depending on foreign companies, which makes it difficult to conduct study. In particular, there are many aged hydraulic turbines over 30~40 years, the timing of modernization comes colser, so it is necessry to replace it whith localization technology development. In order to develop hydraulic turbine, it is necessary to compare the CFD(Coputation Fluid Dynamics) analysis of the designed model and the existing model, but most of the existing models do not have detailed drawings. Therefore, we studied how to acquire Francis turbine runner three-dimensional shape information using 3D scanning. The results of this study are expected to contribute to solving problems caused by the absence of detailed drawings at the time of domestic production of hydraulic turbine.
